Diesel has a shelf life. Because of this, fuel sitting in dormant tanks collects water through condensation and develops microbial growth. This ‘dead’ fuel becomes unusable, but we intercept this before it’s disposed of as waste, using innovative filtration systems to strip out the contaminants and restore its chemical integrity.

Does moving fuel in a van increase the risk of spills compared to a tanker?

No – moving fuel in a van doesn’t increase the risk of spills. Large tankers carry tens of thousands of litres and require massive space to move around, which can increase the risk of accidents. Oryx vans are integrated with safety baffles to prevent fuel surge and automatic shut-off valves. Plus, our vans are smaller and more agile, so they can position themselves much closer to the target vehicle.
